Default Delonix Regia roots and shade

Hello there!

I have a couple of questions regarding the Delonix Regia (Royal
Poinciana).
1. Does it have a very violent root system? Will it raise sidewalks
and/or try to penetrate the foundations of buildings?
2. Is it true that no grass can grow under it? Is the foliage that
thick?

Thank you in advance,
Danny
