Default I finally got started this year!

Oh the joy! It will take me a while to clear the entire plot but I'm doing it
by sections and planted my first seeds yesterday plus a few herbs. I live near
a community garden and I can't tell you how envious I was - these people
started their gardens from as far back as March! Oh well - at least I started
- now I have to keep at it until the rest of the ground is cleared so that I
can seed the rest!

Isn't it exciting? I love planting gardens and watching them grow so I can
enjoy the fruits of my labor Spring is my favorite time of year We've
been meaning to plant some herbs, but haven't gotten around to it
yet..hopefully in the next few days we will though

"How did I ever get talked into this?"

...."planting my first seeds"...yes, I can remember planting my first
seeds...
We had just purchased our first home. I had acquired some pumpkin seeds
from...somewhere and mentioned that I wanted to plant them.
"No!" my wife told me...and as usual I had the last word..."Yes,
Dear".
But, I needed to experiment...so I dug out the grass, about one foot
square, dug in some rabbit droppings in this small area and planted my
pumpkin seeds.
I waited.
Soon the pumpkin plants broke the surface..."Oh the joy"...!
As they grew I removed more grass from the area.
It wasn't long before I was asked..."What is that?" by the Big Boss.
"Pumpkins", I said. (snicker)
Well, that first year we had 32 sugar pumpkins. The Big Boss eventually
came up with a recipe...pumpkin loaf...that won a prize for someone we gave
the recipe to.
Now that is normal. Take the risk (of being killed for growing pumpkins
against the Big Bosses wishes) then giving out The
Recipe...and someone else gets a prize!? Go figure....
Happy gardening!
