automatic watering system for houseplant?

Could someone suggest an automatic watering device for house plant? I prefer
something that does not require electricity and is more or less foolproof
(less chance of over or under watering).

The plant is labeled "Chinese evergreen". It needs only spoonful of water
every few days.
