what makes the stem on a glad get too tall and fall over? thanks in

Over-breeding? Just a guess, but our modern glads were probably bred
for maximum bloom display -- hence, tall and top-heavy bloom stalks.
Very annoying, unless you have the time and inclination to put
supports up for each flower.
