Default Orchids on TV

For those of you that receive 200 some-odd channels like I do, I wanted to
alert you to a show that was on this past Tuesday on Discovery Home &
Leisure Channel. The show is called Diversions, which is an anthology
showing different travel and hobby topics. Anyway, one of the segments was
titled 'Rare Plant Growth' and turned out to be about Cypripediums and the
Vermont Ladyslipper Company nursery. It showed quite a bit of their nursery
operation, including the handling of vernalized seedlings as well as
blooming size plants. Lots of Cypripedium reginae in full bloom as well.
I've never watched this program before, but it is well worth keeping an eye
out for. Like most of the programming on Discovery, they probably cycle
through the shows every 6-8 weeks or so, so it is bound to come up again in
the next few weeks. Just thought I would pass this on to all you hardy
orchid fans.
