70% shade, peat and perlite(1 peat : 10 perlite), watering depends on your
situation and pot size etc, and I think that this plant prefers it on the
warm side, but that is just from memory ( please correct me )

Mine is mounted on the outside of an upside down mesh pot.

Gideon,

Mounted is correct for this leafless orchid. I give mine strong light about
the same as catts. Mist regularly.

Mine are mounted on cork bark but not really adhearing to it. I have a
couple of chilochista's in spike right now but I don't remember which ones.

Good Growing,
Gene

Dont you hate it when you read one name and think the other??? Sorry Gideon,
I mixed up Cischweinfia and Chilochista... ooops

Updated info, mount it (I use natural unprocessed cork) keep it warm and
mist regularly. THey like to dry out rapidly but need to have regular
moisture to compensate for the lack of pseudobulbs.... High humidity is a
must.

A quick note, most growers grow Chilochista's as an exercise in mortality.
They buy the plants, a few months later they buy a replacement plant for the
first (now dead) one and so the cycle goes.

Thanks to all who responded. I moved mine from the greenhouse into a
carnivorous tank where it should get the required humidity and light.

Happy Holidays and a Prosperous New Year to all!
