Default Reverse potting method

What is a "reverse potting method"? when does it apply, for which
orchids...etc...

Thanks in advance,
Mariana

Where did you see or hear this term? It's a new one on me.

I can imagine 2 possibilities:

Taking plants out of pots and mounting them -- because they're climbers, or
not responding well to pot culture; or

Taking a plant out of a 6" pot and putting it into a 4" pot -- because it
was overpotted to begin with, or was found to have a poor root system.

But that's pure speculation ...
