Default What' s next for some paphs ?

Well p. Bel Royal is in bloom. A single growth with three flowers. Although the
leaf spread is about four feet I think the plant will still grow bigger.

What's the future for some of these hybrids. It seems to me that most of them
are beginning to look alike with rothchildianum and sanderianum in the
background.

Any ideas?

Our Bel Royal is no where that wide. Have you posted a photo to
ABPO? I would love to see this one.

If you can explain to me how to post a photo I will. I took a few shots
yesterday. I'll measure the exact leaf spread and also the average spread of
the flowers. I did not take a shot of the plant itself but I could if you would
like to see it.

Measured some of mine. All that were blooming or throwing spikes had over a
3' leaf span. The largest I found was 3' 9". I did not pull and flatten
the leaves so I am sure all the measures could be made a few inches bigger.
Mine came out of Krull Smith breeding years ago. I have been getting 3 to 7
flowers on a spike. So far the pouches have been sort of muddy. Waiting
for a very dark or sharply veined pouch. All in all very impressive plants.

Mine came from Krull Smith as well. I'll post a photo of the flowers.

Mine has very nice coloring on the pouch. Not real dark but nicely veined.

Well I took some additional photos of Paph Bel Royal and I also measured the
leaf spread. I was wrong. The leaf spread is only 3'4", but I still think it
will get bigger.

I measured the flower and the natural spread is 5-5-1/2 , dorsal 2" wide and
the overall height 8".

I put the photos on an album in ofoto and if any one wants to see them just
send me an e-mail.
