Default as easy as falling off a log

In my quest for diversity, I plan on growing several orchids on a log
and thought I'd ask the Group's advice. I'm looking to have several
smaller orchids, the log will be laying down so they won't need to be
tied (like mounted orchids). I'll probably put some Spanish moss around
and under the log for effect, but orchid moss, some charcoal and coconut
chips under and over the roots.

So far I plan on using Masdevallia Celtic Frost (Angel Frost X
glandulosa) (pink, orange and fragrant) or it may be the Masdevallia
June Winn (Redwing X decumana)( red) as one plant. I mounted one on cork
(thanks, Ray) and mixed them up so I'm not sure which is left and they
are babies. I also hope to replace a
Trisetella cordeliae (red with yellow) which died (another tiny one), so
I'm going for a red growing out of green and brown effect. Any suggestions?

I have 3 mounted (two Phals and one of the Masdevallia) one caged Phal
and lots of potted orchids of various sorts. I can't go too crazy with
size, as it all has to fit in my orchiderium when the cold weather comes
to CT.
