Can scale live in humidity trays?

Can scale live in humidity trays?

Hi everyone!

I just discovered scale on a few orchids that are on top of a humidity tray.
I'm taking care of the plants with alcohol and neem oil. Do I need to clean
the tray, too? I really don't want the little critters to come back.
