Default Doritaenopsis seedling?

Hello Everyone,
My brother brought me a Doritaenopsis seedling to cheer me up this past
week, he knows nothing about orchids, so naturally I'm a little
hesitant about the one he brought me. There's a lot of bark in the mix,
but the majority of the potting seems to be loose soil...
is this okay, the plant seems well established in the mix, but I know
that Doritaenopsis and Phalaenopsis roots love lots of air.
Anyway, I'll see if I can find my digital camera and take a photo
-Sandra
Thanks

Hi, Sandra: First, don't post the pic here -- Mick will have a fit! Post
on a website of your choosing, with a link, or on abpo.

Second: You didn't say where you are. In cooler, low-humidity climates
than mine here in So. Fla., lots of growers add peat moss to their bark
mixes to hold more water. Or, it might just be that the bark has broken
down considerably ...

I assume the plant is in flower, since it was a gift. If so, just keep an
eye on it so you don't over-water. If not, then re-pot at your earliest
convenience into whatever you grow the rest of your Phals in.
