Appreciate suggestions for wildflower ID book
We've recently moved to NE Washington state and would like to purchase
a book to help me identify local wildflowers. Would appreciate your suggestions on which one you would recommend. So far I'm considering "Washington Wildflowers" and "Wildflowers of the Pacific Northwest". (I'm not completely sure though if NE Washington is considered part of the pacific NW or if that means coastal). Appreciate your suggestions. Thanks. Sandy |

Sandy Newcomb's Wildflower Guide has a very nice indexing scheme, that very often takes you right to the plant in question. It's for the NE and North Central US but some plants might be in common. Out-of-print ``Ontario Weeds'' is nice too, but for the wrong area, I guess. Most guides I've tried don't work, though I'm just a bike rider interested in what's growing there off on the right. A year after learning all the loud bird songs in the area, looking for something to do. -- Ron Hardin On the internet, nobody knows you're a jerk. |
