Default ID on two garden plants please

I would like an ID on two shrubs currently flowering in a garden in
Merimbula (far south coast of NSW, Australia).

The individual tubes of the flowers are 2 - 3 cm long.

They look to be closely related species - or maybe cultivars.

Merimbula is 37 degrees south, so about the latitude of San Francisco
and southern Spain.

These flowers make an astonishing splash of colour among snowdrops and
daffodils.
