Can you identify this flower?
From Sandia peak in New Mexico:

Well, it's one of the "paintbrushes", snapdragon family Scrophulariacea,

It would be Castilleja integra, a bit earlier than most, but even so, the example is just beginning to bloom. Note the white tomentum on the stems, and non-divided leaves. C. chromosa has a few lobes on the upper leaves, and redder bracts. Sean, also in Albuquerque. |
