Default [OT] recommendation for who house water filter

I thought this might be the perfect group to ask this. We are looking for a
way to make our water more palatable for ourselves, our plants, and, of
course, our fish. We think a whole house water filter might be just the
thing, but man are there some pretty interesting claims out there.

Do any of you have one or know of a scrupulous dealer?

Thanks,

San Diego Joe
