Default Northern Delaware club ?

Anyone know of or how to find a pond club in Northern Delaware ? We have
a very modest pond and would love to get better educated in "real time".

Check www.akca.org if nothing there, check local pet shops and pond stores.
Watch for ads of ponders selling plants or fish in the paper. Many people
have found our club due to my selling of divided plants. ~ jan

The Mid-Atlantic Koi Club (MAKC) has 4 chapters. South chapter is generally
the Northern VA, MD, and DC area. The North Chapter appears to be NJ.
Central Chapter is Eastern PA, and the Long Island Chapter would be NY. The
club has one of the best magazines of any of the clubs. The Koi America
show is held every other year, and this year will be moved to the CARROLL
COUNTY AGRICULTURE CENTER, DANELE SHIPLEY MEMORIAL ARENA, Westminster, MD
September 28, 29, & 30. This is just outside of Baltimore and is one of the
largest koi shows in the country. It is free admission, so come on over and
have a good time.

mmmm....so does Delaware belong to the South Chapter (near MD, I
actually live about 1.5 miles from the border) or the Central Chapter ?

Both. Take your pick. Look at the calendar of events and meetings at
MAKC.com and see which meetings are closest and on days that you can attend.
I belong to South. The meeting for South in August will be at Dr. Art
Lemke's house. He has a beautiful indoor koi pond, built as an indoor
swimming pool for resale purposes, but purposely built as a koi pond. He is
near Annapolis.

Jerry, If you want an experience you need to go see Art Lemke's house/pond,
it will be an OMG experience. ;-) One of the few times I'd wish I lived
closer. ~ jan

We used to belong to MAKC and it is a great bunch of people. We are
in Marydel, and usually went to the Phila area meetings.

Art Lemke's place is to die for, don't miss it.

Everyone there was helpful and explained stuff in detail but clearly
for this novice at my first meeting. Boy, were we green to fishponds.
The amount of knowlege in the group is astounding. And if they don't
know, they know who does!!
