Default Pondmaster Mag Drives work out of water?

Hey, I know the Mag Drive #36 is submerisble but does anybody know if it
works out of the water, like in conjunction with a strainer?

I think the 36 would be like all of the other Supreme Mag Drive pumps. The
other sizes are able to be run as either in line, out of the pond, or as
submersible pumps.
