Default water hysinth

any one know offhand what the coolest temp water hyacinth can take
before it starts to loose it? can it take 40 degrees at nite

If it can't be fixed with bailing wire or duct tape
its not worth fixing

Mine always survive /air/ temps right down to freezing, but the water
temps are invariably higher. After the first air temp freeze the
hiacynth--hyacinth--highacinth---(what the heck?) /they/ turn to jelly
pretty quickly. Of course, YMMV.
