Default Pregnant fantails????

Can anyone tell me how I would know if one of my fantail goldfish is ready
to drop fishies? I have one that was given to me and it is really fat? Could
she be pregnant and does she lay eggs or are they live births?

Thanks for any help you can provide

Randy

They are egg layers and they are not fertilized until after she
releases them. They also will eat them as quickly as they lay them. If
both your fish are females it's just caviar.

Goldfish lay eggs. I don't know how to tell if it is PG
or has a disease though

really fat could be well fed, loaded with eggs, genetically round or could be the
beginning of dropsy if the scales are sticking out. Ingrid
