leak in stream
Hi All;
Just discovered that we have a leak (must be pretty good size) in our 22 ft. stream. Any ideas on how we might find it? Thanks |

leak in stream
Time, patience and persistence. Look for wicking, during the winter months
bugs & worms will move soil over liner to cause serious wicking, rather than a hole somewhere.... especially if the stream worked fine last fall. leak in stream
Just went through this with my 75' long stream. The first thing to do is
isolate if it is in the stream, waterfall, or plumbing. Turn off the pump and fill the stream to full. If the stream remains full, then it is in the plumbing/waterfall. My first time it remained full. Turns out the liner where the waterfall and stream met was not overlapped and it was running back under the liner when the pump was one. This time my water level continued to fall. I let it fall until it stopped, then followed the liner edge around looking for holes. Turns out that the dirt had washed out and the liner folded back on itself letting the water out. I also had a goodsize leak on the install of my skimmer, so check there as well if you have one. It can be quite frustrating to find it, but you just have to eliminate things one at a time. Good luck. "Joan" wrote in message ...
