How to build an easy natural stone waterfall
Thanks for link, Mike. I really like this waterfall.
I may try this to re-do my waterfall which I have Never Liked. It sticks up like a sore thumb. Yeck! However, I need to find a new pond guy first. How to build an easy natural stone waterfall
Thanks Mike. That is how I have been building my waterfalls the last 15
years. I don't mound up any soil though, I just stack rocks at edge of pond where I want the water fall to be and use at least three large flat rocks with good "lip" on them for the water to spill over. Between the large rocks are smaller ones stacked together for support. I make sure all rocks are slightly titled forward and I do use some heavy plastic underneath to direct all water into the pond. I place more rocks off to the sides of the waterfall to help it blend in. This past weekend I finished my "big dig" and my new pond is done with waterfall and edging and I have just started landscaping around it. PICS to follow in a few weeks :-) Denise Visit my gardens: http://web1.in4web.com/mtcdrc |
