Hi:
I have an area at the end of the pond I am thinking of planting lotus in. Details - 3' x 2' x 15" deep with about 8" of soil Separated from main pond by landscape fabric and rocks Shared water If I put a lotus in here in no pot will I regret the decision? Thanks, Heather |

Lotus - No Pot?
Heather, I was going to do the same thing with my lotus pond..
No pots - but was talked out of it by two ladies here on this news- group. They told me the lotus would soon take over my pond which is 12 feet in diameter... I followed their recommendation. I put my 4 lotuses in pots and have never regretted it. Lotus - No Pot?
AGH don't do it. It will look good the first year, the second year you'll
frown and say hmmmm....the third year it will be in your main pond with a vengenance and you will need two people to pull the tubers out.......having learned the hard way..... Maureen |
