Default Hurricane prep a pond?

Is there anything you can do to help a pond better withstand
a hurricane or tropical storm? Or do you just have to let
nature do it's thing? I live about 1 mile off of Mobile bay
and we may have a storm headed our way.

Thanks for any advice,
Robin
