My lilies are shooting up leaves and the fish are spawning like rabbits on
viagra. The water got up to 60 degrees and so I was able to get in up to

my
navel (still chilly at the navel level!) and do some cleaning I should

have
done last fall.

The only odd thing is that I have a lot of mushy, dead WH this year. Those
of you expecting some from me may have to wait a few more weeks.

Now if it would just stop raining long enough for the soil to dry up a
little.

The snow and ice seeds that got planted by a bird in my pond are growing
nicely. Oh and that plant that grows from the bottom up and looks like dead
oak tree leaves. That one is growing nicely too.

If this was rec.authors, or rec.writers group, emoticons are very :-(
frowned upon, one should write well enough to get their point across
without such in that type of group.

Unfortunately we're not all so talented, and sometimes stuff can come
across as sarcasm and sarcasm can be taken two ways. 1) Hurtful to make the
receivers seem stupid, or used to be funny and poke fun. The later needs to
use an emoticon so it is not mistaken, imho. The former is taken serious.

Then there are those who can't write worth a twit and ought to use
emoticons ALL THE TIME! ;o) ~ jan

@#$%^& Troll!

grumblegrumblegrumble

Huh?

Well, surely only a troll would be telling us how nice the weather is

when
even the _salt_ water at my place is frozen solid enough to drive on :-)

Oh, I get it. I must have been numb from the frigid water when I wrote

that

-------------------------
I was laughing so hard at the turn this took that I fell off my chair. The
troll referring to either those of us left coasters who are in the high 60's
with no ice/snow or bragging about walking in the water with frozen navel
and shrinkage or fish on via&*a or . . .

I put a new lily in the depths of my pond and my hand still turned blue . .
.. BUT
found 1 gold fish and 5 darkfish. don't know if any of the others made it,
but these guys were hanging out in the main pond, not in the cave under the
falls.

Some posting software allows you to put comments in the headers of
your posts indicating humour. Keywords can be set, too. If you can see
headers, see this example.

You probably could, but he was referring to a header that is separate from
the normally viewed message. "Subject" is a header, as are "From", "Date"
and "Newsgroups". Or there's the "X-Noarchive" (or something like that)
that people add when they don't want their posts archived - which I rather
doubt works in any of the cases I've seen, because it was actually part of
the body, not the headers.

Crash added "Keywords", which said something like "if these were real
keywords, they'd be funny" :-) I'm sure I could figure out how to set the
header from this newsreader, but it's kind of pointless to set headers that
most readers can't actually use in filters (and even in the Unix world, a
lot of newsreaders don't handle more than a basic set of headers).
