Thanks for the virtural tour John, I think you should do this at least
monthly so we can watch your pond change thru the season. ~ jan

Looks great. how deep is the pond? How are you keeping it so clear? What
part of the country are you in? Must be somewhere warm the lily is really
going to town. Ours are doing nothing yet. Keep us updated as the season
goes on.

Just beautiful John. Looks deep too. It will even look better once the plants are bigger- send more pics then. Happy ponding.

Nice looking pond landscape. Your ecosystem is out of balance though.
Your water is green.

Possible help:

1. You appear to have too many fish for that size pond.
2. You need more plants. Especially submerged oxygenator plants and
floating oxygenators.
3. Consider abandoning the unsightly bottom pump and exposed hose and
going with a Savio skimmer and possibly replacing your waterfall
biofilter to handle more activity.

Heck yeah!!
We still have green water in our ponds here in Colorado Springs. Still
kinda chilly but just warm enough to make the plants "think" it is
really spring time! :-P . In a week or so, I think things will start to
clear up a bit. My neighbors' pond was very clear up until yesterday.
Now it is starting a slow change.
So for now, I just wait. The plants are just starting to poke up
through the water. Patience.

Green water at this time of year hardly proves it's out of balance. Some
ponders get through the spring without an algae bloom. Many will have one
initially until the plants get fully established.

i live in upstate newyork. its just barely starting to get "hot". Mid
60s everyday now. The water is only about 18 inches deep at most. hopefully
ill have tons of shade with all the pads coming up. and flowers on the
lillys by the first week of june, i can already see them 1/2 way to the
top!!

ill put up new pics in 2 weeks!

Wait a minute, these two don't make sense, if his water was truly green one
wouldn't be able to see the "unsightly bottom pump and exposed hose" so I
took a second look. Nope, not green, looked great for early spring, in
fact. A few lilies will cover over the hose and pump in no time. ~ jan
