Mermaid question
I promised I'd find something about
a problem an acquaintance I meet has with her Mermaid. It is a large 25' + sized bush growing through a beech? tree. Shes had it forever and totally loves it. For about 2 years now she see's a weeping sore show up on the 1" thick canes. She showed it to me and thats what it looks like. The sores are about 2" long and they seem to mostly occur @ 4'-8' above the ground. They don't girdle the cane but they weep some kind of clear not very sticky fluid. Itsnot copious just enough to be moist. She says that about a year after she sees it the cane usually dies. Has anyone seen anything like it? Any help would be appreciated. -- Theo in KC Z5 |
