Default Yellow leaves on rose tree.

I live in New Hampshire. I recently baught a rose tree that I keep
indoors. It's near the window and the tree does get lot of indirect sun
light. I do use a grow bulb three hours a day once it's dark. I noticed
that my tree leaves are turning yellow. Is it because of lack of sun
light? I did pot this tree a week ago. Does the soil has anything to do
with it? Do I need to keep the bulb on whole day?

Just to add to my previous post- It's a china doll tree. I did water it
a to make sure that the soil settles down. Do yoy think over watering
could be the problem? How often dhould I water the tree?

I find it hard to believe that no one in New England area keeps Rose
tree indoors. There has to be some way to make it work . Any ideas
thoughts will be highly appreciated.

Roses are outdoor plants. They need full sun 5+ hours a day.
A few varieties will get away with less, but you'd have to pick for
that, and even then they won't be as happy.

I expect some are grown in greenhouses, but that takes massive
chemical aid and you probably don't want it in your house.

best of luck in your attempt to grow a rose bush indoors....i think light will be a major factor...do be aware though that if you bought the bush recently all its tissues will be of a kind suited to outdoor growth....hence the leaf yellowing which i'd expect to be followed by leaf drop...if next spring the bush puts out new leaves these will be more predisposed to conditions in your house...i would nt water too much at the moment either.
once again good luck !

My china doll tree is blooming. However it has termites on it. What
would be the easiest way to get rid of it? I do have a humidifier next
to my tree. I did spay a lot of water on the tree but the leaves seem
to shade every day. Please help..
