Does anyone have any experience with Ted's Trees @ 1118 Tillery in Austin? Or any of the trees advertisers in the Austin American Classifieds? I am looking for good sources for any or all of the below plants/shrubs/trees Lacey Oak Live Oak Bur Oak - or - Red Oak Possumhaw Holly Texas Redbud Yaupon Holly Dwarf Wax Myrtle Southern Wax Myrtle Yellow Bells Texas Mountain Laurel Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated. I just moved into a new house and need to start landscaping the place. I live in Round Rock and have purchased 4 trees from Ted's which they installed. Cherry Laurel, Red Oak, Chinquapin, and Live Oak have been installed. My Red Oak looks as though it might have Oak wilt ... its what I feared the most in planting it. I would suggest a Chinese Pistache because of its hardiness and resistance to any diseases. I will be planting one this weekend. Green and Growing in Pflugerville is the best all around nursery I have found in Austin and its surrounding areas. -- effero |

If anyone needs any native Privett trees, I have some hyooge ones on my
property that reproduce by the dozens every year. :-) I dig them up when they reach a certain size and pot them. I'm saving them up to make a hedge, but I have a few to spare. I also have a young chinaberry in a pot, as well as a few squirrel planted pecans. I'm in San Marcos Kat In article , "Therasa" wrote: Schulz nursery in Marion is great! "effero" wrote in message ... Red Oaks (shumard is most common at nurseries) are the trees that allow the fungus to form fungal mats that sperad spores, and should never be left standing. If a red oak does contract oak wilt, it will be completely dead in a matter of weeks. If this does not happen, your problem is something else (maybe bacterial leaf scorch?). How long ago did this tree go in? Most nurseries (I assume Ted's is no exception) will guarantee their products for a year, so you may be entitled to a replacement.
