Organic Method of killing weeds
On Mon, 5 Jul 2004 07:00:14 -0500, "Fritz von Herbenfeller"
opined: I read that 20% Ag grade vvinegar with a bit of orange oil in it will kill about anything, even ivy, without harming nearby tree roots etc. I'm about to try it on ivy. The vinegar is available at Lowe's and I suppose other garden and farm centers. Orange oil availablity is spotty but some Lowe's and most large organic centers and mail order houses have it. FYI, Safer products make an orange oil now. It's pure d-limonine and comes in a green, clear plastic container with a measuring device on top. I believe they are calling it Fire Ant Killer. It does kill them, but it is orange oil and the price is not too bad. I've seen it at Lowes, as well as other brands.
