Default Tell me again when the worms will go away

I need to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. They are
all over my deck and on my tropical plants. I could barely tolerate them
in the yard, but now they've gone too far!

I heard another week. Does that sound about right?

Meaning about another week here. They were worse last year in
my opinion.

Interestingly enough, I can't even remember them last year, but this
year has been like a bad dream.

When it's quiet, there's still a gentle rain of
frass from the canopy

Is that what you call it!?! I only realized a couple days ago that the
black specks on my car were not pollen!
With hope and heart,
Kathleen

The correct word for 'caterpillar poop' ;-)

I thought "castings" was the correct word.

Well, it may be that, but it's also the tassels of the live oaks
falling. They seem to be holding onto the trees longer this spring.
Is this a really cool temperature spring, or am I just not
remembering other springs?

V

It's pretty cool compared to the last 8 or 9 years! I've been in Houston
that long, and this is the best spring I remember. It's wonderful!

"Frass," "castings," "droppings," "excretum"

It is stimulating to converse with individuals who
motivate one to extend his verbal horizon.
