Glassy-Winged Sharpshooters attacking my Crape

Yesterday evening my wife noticed that our Crape Myrtle was infested
with insects. I did some research and the insects in question are
Glassy-Winged Sharpshooters.

Does anyone have any advice on controlling/killing these pesky buggers?
