When do you start to let dahlias flower properly on the plant, when do
you pick and how do you best treat them for showing please? If picked
too early (I'm experimenting at the moment) the flowers don't seem to
open properly at all. We have our show in a fortnight or so and I have
no idea if I ought to be cutting off side flowers etc etc.

Any expert advice?
