Hi

I'd be grateful for any planting suggestions for a new border. It runs along
the side of a new driveway & is directly south facing & in full sun. Being
in the front garden, it will get less attention than the plants in the back
& probably a bit less watering! so ideally some sort of Ground Cover
planting mixed with some evergreen "architectural" plants.

The border's slightly raised - by the height of one railway sleeper - new
ones, not reclaimed.

Hmmmm... yes, should have mentioned that - Nearest mountain is probably
Snowdon - about 300 miles away, & winters are fine in Berkshire, Southern
England
