Unhappy Hydrangea

I have a large hydrangea in my north facing front garden, i have lived here for nearly two years and it has always produced plenty of large pink blooms. I have always pruned it back to ground level after it has finished flowereing, however this year although there is plenty of foliage there are very few flowers, i have one large bloom that has only just appeared? Am i doing something wrong?
