Default Membrane, decking timber etc

Hi folks,
I'm about to put in a deck (my first) and wondered if anyone could tell me
the most economical source for the timber?
I don't want to get it from the normal stores as I guess they'll be much
more expensive.
Also I'm after some membrane so the weeds wont grow under the deck - any
ideas where to get this stuff from?

Thanks

Dave
