Default saving cut chrysanthemums and rooting

Hi, after recently buying a bunch of cut chrysanthemums from a supermarket
we noticed that one sprig of about six yellow small headed ones has grown
thin long roots into the water.

Is there any recommended way to get them potted up and growing into soil?
should we; 1 keep them in water until spring. 2. put them in soil in a pot
straight away and keep them indoors or put them outdoors? any advice for
a novice please? thanks
