Default Cat Control

Has anyone any experience of using the ultrasound cat repeller? Been trying to keep the blackbird-slaughtering little b*stards out of my back garden. Up to now deterrents like strewing holly over flower beds and spreading Jeyes Fluid around hasn't had any effect.

The RSPB do one of these devices for £54, and I've seen them advertised in the weekend supplements for £20.
