I always feel spring has properly sprung when I see my first Brimstone
butterfly in the garden, and there it was this morning making the most
of the early sunshine. Any others spotted yet?

This afternoon in my garden in Reading. It's my second butterfly of the

peacock in the greenhouse;
it is too cold outside for much else.
Lots of bumble bees in a nearby garden centre but I hope they do not get hit
by a late hard frost.
