Default Thalictrum Hewitt's Double

Is anyone else growing this, particularly anyone in this area? It's a big
favourite of mine but this year we find it to be a little less hearty and
enthusiastic than in the last 3 years it's been in this particular position.
We're wondering if cold/damp etc. affected it, so I'd be glad to know what
others are experiencing.
