Default Recommendations to refill planters after holiday

Hi,

just back from holiday and most of the planters (plants in the
planters) are almost dead. Petunia's have gown to about 12inches then
died and the lobelia are now just dead stalks. Only the geraniums have
survived.

What can I buy just to add a bit of colour? I'm selling the house at
the moment and the patio is looking very tatty with all the dead
plants.

thanks

Davy

PS should of got the estate agent to water the plants while I was on my
hols!
