Default parasene soil cables

I have a propagator made up of a soil warming cable with a thermostat which
extends into the sand the cable is in all, from Parasene. Certainly if the
illustration is a black box with a dial and indicator then it is probably a
thermostat like mine. It works very well keeps the required temperature but
doesn't cost too much to run. In addition to starting seed etc in the
spring I use it to keep a few plants frost free in the winter, much cheaper
than heating the whole greenhouse.

Hello,

Has anyone used Parasene soil warming cables, or any other make? What
are your opinions?

Also, what is the thermometer like that you can use with them? On-line
shops show a black box with a dial; is that all it is, or is there a
soil probe that comes with it?

Thanks.
