"SOME"

I am so glad you put that in. And how many, or what % of the population
would that be? 2%? 5%? even 10%? (which I doubt) which still leaves a huge
majority not on your wavelength :-))

I hope you don't think the silent majority support animal abuse? As
the pro hunt loons found out, the silent majority counts for a lot.

:-)

Very clever way to get out of what I was saying about the % of the
population who are not meat eaters.

Very difficult for you to stick to an argument, which by your own
observation, must be that more people eat meat than do not :-)))

Have you seen some of the videos?

Considering that there are more meat eaters in this country that veggies,
can you please explain to me, why, if the meat industry is 'poisoning the
public', the public in general are living a lot longer and as proof, the
pensionable age is to be raised because of the shortfall in pension
funds?

People live longer not because but in spite of meat they consume. We
see more and more frequent bans of meat imports due to health risks.

actually we see a lot of bans on vegetable products for the same reason,

Hey there....now you are calling me names. I don't really appreciate
that, but then you did and stated it. I have been Burkie

So ...fly your kite somewhere else. Whatever a Burk in your country

By the way, your insistence about "Go Veggie" is yours, not mine. I

However, due to your persistent nature to try and intimidate me,
playing the innuendo game of name-calling, go right ahead. You won't

6) Septic pleurisy. Since the arrival of PMWS on most UK farms there has
been a rise in severe pleurisy lesions, which in the most severe form can
set up abscessation within the musculature of the rib cage. If restricted
to this area, trimming may be possible with only partial carcass rejection.
Where infection has spread beyond the thorax (chest) whole carcass
condemnation is likely.

I have no doubt, given the filthy conditions in farming today, that
infected food is reaching our tables. It would go some way to
explaining the surge in illness.

Go veggie.

waste of time, as pete is either a troll, who just says it to wind you up,
or a crank in which case he doesn't care anyway

more sense to look at the figures, more and more people in the world are
consuming more meat every year
but with the way that grain is going in bioethanol, and the way that oil
prices are going up, a lot of people in the apparently prosperous west are
suddenly going to discover that the vegetarian protein sources and more
interesting vegetables they are used to are going to become awfully
expensive.
I wonder how many will be keen on being vegetarian when their only
vegetables are those that grow seasonally in England

the petes of this world are going to discover that they can ignore reality
for as long as they like, but reality will not ignore them

The coarse fisherman could well eat better than they do in the next few
years ;-)

Dear Geoff: We have never met, but the tacit reaction to "go veggie"
is yours, not mine.

pete is the one who told us to buy tesco salmon

Why?

because he is a troll?

Jim Webster

Well in a way we all are, but why would someone who wants to be
thought of as promoting veg*nism suggest that anyone should buy
salmon? And from a particular company?

There is nothing honest about the meat industry trying to keep from the
public the cruel conditions of factory farming

How do you think they're doing that? Maybe by hiding it from
National Geographic? But you don't want that stuff shown anyway
do you? Or do you only want non-human animals killing each to be
restricted? Would you allow humans killing humans, and demand
humans killing animals, while preventing other animals killing animals?
Would you enjoy other animals killing humans?

and rendering of animals

They don't suffer from the rendering, because by then they're dead.

that suffer greatly because of desire to make more profit while denying
helpless animals their God given right to natural life.

· The meat industry includes habitats in which a small
variety of animals are raised. The animals in those
habitats, as those in any other, are completely dependant
on them to not only sustain their lives, but they also
depend on them to provide the pairing of sperm and egg
that begins their particular existence. Those animals will
only live if people continue to raise them for food.

Animals that are born to other groups--such as wild
animals, pets, performing animals, etc.--are completely
different groups of animals. Regardless of how many or few
animals are born to these other groups, the billions of animals
which are raised for food will always be dependant on consumers
for their existence. ·

???????????????????

Considering that there are more meat eaters in this country that veggies,
can you please explain to me, why, if the meat industry is 'poisoning the
public', the public in general are living a lot longer and as proof, the
pensionable age is to be raised because of the shortfall in pension funds?

Some are living longer, some arent. Many are dying far too early.
Cancers, CJD, Dementia etc.

Doesn't stuff like that kill vegans?

Just because you're alright Jack, doesnt mean it's alright.
