Soil Test Kits/Meters
I have one of those inexpensive combined moisture/ph testing meters. The ph
meter doesn't seem to work very well, so I was wondering if a more expensive ph meter would work (by expensive, I mean about £15). Does anyone have any experience with these, and do they work? Thanks. Mel |

Out of vulgar curiosity, why do you need one? If it's just for fun, great; but it won't improve your gardening. -- Mike. -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |

The quantity you need is "some"! Unless you've already limed well in the past couple of years, in which case results will tell you whether you need one of those other precise quantities, "none" or "a bit more". Honestly, I'm not being frivolous he it's actually difficult to analyse accurately with amateur equipment, and if there are no clues from previous years' performance or from what all your neighbours are doing, you may as well just do a bit this year and see how it goes. -- Mike. -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |
