Default Daffs 99% vanished

Same thing happened to me two years previously. I dug up the bulbs to
find them partly rotten, and infested with small white grubs. I was
told I had some eel worm (from memory) and told to not put any more
bulbs in that area for a few years, as they would succumb to the same
problem.
Regardless of the cause, I feel your pain! There is nothing nicer
than a good splash of daffs in the garden.

There's something about a cheerful golden host that says 'Spring is
sprung', although I do like some of the pale or almost white varieties
too, which look very elegant against a dark background.

They talked about breeding red ones in an article I was reading once,
but I thought no way! I couldn't be doing with red daffs. Roses can be
red, delphiniums should be blue and daffs ought to be yellow. ;-)
