Musa/Musella lasiocarpa
Noticed that in one of our local Wyvales GC at Crockford Bridge, Addlestone
(they call it Weybridge) they are selling rather large plants of Musa/Musella lasiocarpa (Chinese banana) at £24.99 which I thought rather cheap and good value considering the size of the plants. Presumably other branches of the same chain have them too. http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~dr...lasiocarpa.htm -- Regards Bob Hobden 17mls W. of London.UK |

Nice, relatively cheap,as a result of those clever Dutchmen and their tissue culture. The Lasiocarpa are always worth splitting and can be overwintered without too many problems. The main corm/tuber will probably flower next year. By the end of August they might be half price. |
