I see 'my' Jersey Tiger is mentioned. ;-) I bet you anything you like not one moth will be visible here on the night of 11th August but if it's a fine night, we'll give it a try. -- Sacha http://www.hillhousenursery.co.uk (remove weeds from address) 'We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.' |

Even if there are no moths to be seen there are still (if its fine) the Perseid meteors to be admired, and typically they peak just after the 11th so there should be a few around. -- Roger Hunt |

I have a good resident population of Hawkmoths as well, and they occasionally fly in. (The other night a red-green carpet moth flew in and sat for a good while by the keyboard near the light, looking very handsome.) -- Roger Hunt |

What a sight! What a slaughter! Some years ago a friend of mine would hang a white sheet over the line and shine a UV light at it. That attracted moths like anything.
