and that he is the one that has set a thousand PC clocks.

He's always messing mine up. I've got a multiple boot pc for testing
purposes. The trouble is each boot independently changes the system time -
Microsoft like to be helpful like that. This invariably means the time on
that pc's is several hours out. I've given up correcting it. I seem to spend
half my life fighting "helpful" features provided by Microsoft's bloat-ware
that simply get in the way or generally foul things up. I'm dreading Vista -
it will probably take months to work out how to turn off all the "helpful"
features.

There, that's another conspiracy theory uncovered!

Wrong it has nothing to do with Bill. Blame google groups.

Google groups doesn't make PeeCees come with the clocks wrong. It
only makes posts look like they come from afar.

None of the many PCs I have used have come with clocks wrong. Could
it be that the user is responsible?

All the ones I've bought for wurk have come with the default set at PST.
I
reset them all to DublinEdinburghLondon. I've always wondered why London
comes last. It isn't even North - South.

It's alphabetical, innit!

Perhaps I'm just lucky enough to have a life, and don't sit at
my computer all day... You should try it sometime!

--
AnneJ

No I don't sit at a computer all day and if the dig 'get a life' is pointed
at me, might I respectfully suggest you take a look in

http://2vi.co.uk/rneba/html/picture_gallery.html

where you will see that I spend most of my time giving pleasure to others
:-))

Have you ever arranged such a thing as shown in :-
http://2vi.co.uk/reunion/html/reunion_pictures_0.html ?

You might then wish to visit

http://www.iowtours.com/testimonials.asp

and see how satisfied the people who 'know' me, as opposed to certain people
on here who 'think' they know me, react and respond

:-))

But I doubt somehow you will wish to get egg on your face :-))

Do please have a pleasant evening.

Kindest possible regards.

AnneJ might I respectfully offer you a little advice? When you are in a
hole, stop digging :-))

Sigh Yet another manifestly OFF-TOPIC post Mike! (NNTT!) Might I
suggest
that you start a newsgroup entitled uk.soc.pat-yourself-on-the-back?

I would respectfully like to draw your attention to the fact that it was
your good self who told me to get a life. I only responded to show you that
I DO have a life, giving pleasure to others. I could of course give you
countless examples from over 14 years of doing the same thing as a hobby.

I really do suggest you throw your shovel away.

And please do wipe that egg off your face before you go out.

Kindest regards.

Yours

Mike

Was that before, during, or after your business went down the tubes...?
Perhaps if you'd given your business just that little bit more
attention...
who can tell?

:-))

One of the most successful companies on the Isle of Wight which won awards
from the Isle of Wight County Council and the Isle of Wight Enterprise
Agency. (You may care to check it out in the Isle of Wight County Press.
It's all on archives and microfich. Around 1984/5) And then like many other
businesses, it had the rug pulled from it by Thatcher when she tried to do
what Hitler tried much earlier, and bring the country to it's knees. I
regret that she nearly succeeded.

You might also be interested to know, but you would never admit it, that I
was invited to Lecture at the Isle of Wight Technical and Business College
on how outside influences can bring a business down.

I really do suggest you throw your shovel away.

I would suggest that you find something ON TOPIC to post about
as a change from the self-congratulatory rubbish we are constantly
assailed with...

Not self congratulatory rubbish at all. It's always for and about other
people. Did you read www.rneba.org.uk ? I doubt it. You wouldn't like to
read what had been done for others.

And please do wipe that egg off your face before you go out.

No egg on _my_ face, just a look of resignation...

:-)

Resignation that ONCE AGAIN, you have shot yourself in the foot :-))

Give up now sweetie :-)

Kindest possible regards and sympathies to you

Mike

There is something rather creepy about the way he always turns every
topic around to himself. It seems like a cry for attention or perhaps
even for help. I don't think he is entirely well.

He is very well thank you very much and for as long as people poke their
heads over the wall and take pop shots at me, I will blow their heads off
with nothing but the truth and facts :-))

OK?

That wasn't quite the answer you wanted was it?

Kindest possible regards

Next please.

Mike

By the way, before you take pop shots at me, I do humbly suggest you do a
little research and visit the sites I mention. You won't like it because it
is ALL FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S BENEFIT :-((

Sorry.

At long last you have realised that some people DO do things for others and
you have shot yourself in the foot so many times you have drawn to a close
and limped off :-))

Very very wise.

Years ago I had a mass of black hair ;-)

And once when I did have a large white beard I heard a youngster say to her
Mum something about 'Is that Father Christmas?'. Mum was a bit embarrassed
but I relieved the situation by asking the youngster where they thought
Father Christmas would be now and explained that he would be making all the
toys for next Christmas. Situation solved :-)
