Default Gound cover plants

Hello,
I need a variety of lowish growing ground cover plants which
will grow in shade for a long bank beside a lane.
At present, ivy (of course) and ferns are the main plants.
It is fairly dry.
Thanks for any suggestions.
David

This is going to sound facetious but:
How about Ivy and ferns?
Dry shade is hard. Very little will thrive there. LIbertia can
sometimes take and looks great if it does as can Euphorbia robbiae (I
think it is robbiae).
