NYD Plant Count
Hello All
Happy New Year to everyone. In October I fell and broke my femur near the hip, so I have done very little gardening for the last 2 or 3 months. However I am now reasonably mobile, and this project stirred me to do a tour of my "estate" and report. Position East Anglia near Ipswich Air Temperture 2 Cel Ground Temp 3 Cel Plants planted for Winter flower Viburnum fragrans Viburnum tinus Jasminum nudiflorum Lonicera fragrantisima Chimonanthus fragrans Schizostylis coccinea (pink) Iberis?? (This is a creeping perennial subshrub with flowers about 4" which loves growing at the base of an ornamental plum and is flowering beautifully at the moment) My 2 Sarcococca are in bud not flower My Garrya elliptica is in bud not flower Odds & Ends Some primroses/polyanthus Some roses although the flowers are not worth picking including Ruby Wedding & Penny Lane 1 Calendula 2 different campanulas (variety ?) 1 Nigella (self seeded about 4" tall) 1 small potentilla (variety ?) 1 pale mauve hebe 1 Strawberry Pink Panda Weeds Groundsel Best Wishes John -- John Rye Hadleigh IPSWICH England http://web.ukonline.co.uk/jrye/ --- Using RISC OS Six an Acorn StrongArm RiscPC and under VARPC --- |
