How's your broadband? On dial up pro tem. Will be with Broadband over Easter Roll on Easter then Well, it will be only for a few days, and then back to dialup for a while again Will let you know though With a mobile broadbean dongle you can do dial-up speeds more-or-less wherever you are, and if you're lucky, broadbean speeds. Cost is slightly shy of £40 for the dongle, and thereafter (IIRC) £15 for a gigabyte of up/downloads, rolled-over month to month. (Vodafone - but others will have similar terms.) Already have that thanks) Speed is determined by your location! Since I take at least three months or so to use a gig, this is very economic. I pay £25 per month for 5gb |

The message
from "Ophelia" contains these words: /mobile broadbean/ I pay £25 per month for 5gb ATM I pay (Vogonfone) £15 per 3-Gig/month Mis-sold it by Phones4U, who told me the fast broadbean would be through to my local beacon in three months. A year later and Vogonfone even have no date. So, they are getting their contract dongle back, and to replace it I've bought a PAYG one. -- Rusty Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional. Contract dongle = 3 Gig for £15-ish per month. No rollover. But I don't use even a gig a month. Usually about half that. PAYG dongle = 1 Gig for £15, rollover for ever, so long as I don't forget to use it once in 60 days. (Fat chance!) So, 2-3 months on PAYG for the same price as one month on contract. -- Rusty Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.
